Azygosbogenklappe

An azygos arch valve refers to a venous valve at the site of the azygos arch. They are considered common and are more frequently seen at CT when high contrast material injection rates and right arm injections are used. In many cases there will remain some contrast material in the valve which should not be mistaken for calcifications. The valves can be of various sizes and shapes, and many of them show features of insufficiency.
