Rigler triad (gallstone ileus)

Rigler triad consists of three findings seen in gallstone ileus:
- pneumobilia
- small bowel obstruction
- ectopic calcified gallstone, usually in the right iliac fossa
History and etymology
It is named after Leo George Rigler, American radiologist (1896-1979) .
Practical points
Rigler triad should not be confused with Rigler sign, the Rigler notch sign, or Hoffman-Rigler sign.
