Sigmoidal hook sign (brain)

Sigmoidal hook sign or omega sign is a term sometimes used to denote the appearance of the hand motor area (hand knob), projecting posteriorly from the precentral gyrus. This is a helpful feature in identifying the central sulcus.

The term is however not terribly well known and is therefore probably not very helpful, and is probably best avoided.
