Adductor hallucis muscle

The adductor hallucis muscle arises by two heads, an oblique and transverse head. It is responsible for adducting the big toe.

  • insertion: lateral side of base of proximal phalanx of great toe

  • arterial supplylateral plantar artery
  • innervation: lateral plantar nerve from tibial nerve
