weeks old with respiratory distress. CXR AP and lateral shows bilateral interstitial infiltrates, more prominent in the right lung.The diagnosis was chlamydia pneumonia.

Chlamydia pneumonia is a form of atypical pneumonia.
Pathology
It is caused be the organism Chlamydophila pneumoniae (a species of Chlamydophila) which is an obligate intracellular bacterium that infects humans.
Radiographic features
CT chest
Non specific with overlap of features with pneumonias from other organisms. Can have a wide spectrum of findings inclusive of
- bronchovascular bundle thickening
- nodules
- pleural effusion
- lymphadenopathy: uncommon
- reticular or linear opacities
- airway dilatation
- pulmonary emphysema
Many have bilateral lung involvement.
