A coronary cameral fistula is a type of coronary artery fistula and is defined as a fistulous communication or communicating vessel from coronary artery into any of the cardiac chambers

Epidemiology

It is considered the most common type of coronary artery fistula. They may be are present in less than 1% of the population and have been described in around 0.1-0.2% of coronary angiographic studies. They are thought to account for 0.2-0.4% of congenital anomalies of the heart.

  • right coronary artery (RCA): ~ 55%
  • left anterior descending artery (LAD) ~ 35%
  • both of RCA and LAD
Draining chamber 
  • right ventricle: ~ 41%)
  • right atrium: ~ 26%
  • left atrium and left ventricle: ~ 3-5%
