Metacarpal fractures include:

  • Bennett fracture-dislocation
  • Rolando fracture
• extra-articular
  • epibasal thumb fracture - pseudo-Bennett fracture
    • transverse
    • oblique

Phalangeal fractures include:

• Skier's thumb (also known as gamekeeper's thumb): not always associated with a fracture
• intra-articular
• extra-articular
• terminal tuft fractures
