Frontal sinus outflow tract
The frontal sinus outflow tract, also known as the frontal sinus drainage pathway, are the structures through which mucus from the frontal sinus flow normally.
Terminology
Depending on the references, the term is used variably, including
- synonymously with frontal recess
- a combination of the frontal infundibulum superiorly, frontal ostium at its waist, and frontal recess at its lower half
- from the frontal ostium superiorly to the ethmoid infundibulum or middle meatus inferiorly
