Os paratrapezium is an accessory ossicle located between distal and radial aspect of the radius and the base of the 1metacarpal .

Differential diagnoses include loose bodies secondary to trapreziometacarpal joint osteoarthritis or secondary to trauma (e.g. Bennett's fracture) .
