On this axial oblique fat-saturated T1-weighted image of a 17-year-old girl’s hip, a linear interposition of contrast medium separates partially the underside of the posterior labrum (white arrow), consistent with a posterior sublabral recess. The signal of the labrum is normal, and its rounded shape is also a normal variant
