Rigler triad (gallstone ileus)

Gallensteinileus
mit klassischer Rigler Trias: Spontan aufgetretene Aerobilie, Dünndarmileus und ektope Gallensteine, in diesem Falle sowohl im Magen (siehe auch Endoskopiebild) wie im terminalen Ileum, in diesem Fall nur als kleine Schale erkennbar (coronares Bild; die in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft gelegenen verkalkten Lymphknoten dürften unabhängig davon einzuordnen sein). Die Gallenblase (Bild rechts oben) ist nur noch als Rest vorhanden. Der Gallenstein an der Bauhin"schen Klappe wurde operativ geborgen, der große Stein im Magen musste vor der endoskopischen Extraktion lithotripsiert werden.

It is named after Leo George Rigler, American radiologist (1896-1979) .

Practical points

Rigler triad should not be confused with Rigler sign, the Rigler notch sign, or Hoffman-Rigler sign.
