Segmental renal hypoplasia
Segmental renal hypoplasia, also known as the Ask-Upmark kidney, is a type of renal hypoplasia. It is often found in young females with severe hypertension. The etiology is unknown but has been postulated to be congenital or a sequelae of pyelonephritis. It is associated with severe juvenile hypertension.

May show a thin cortex with calyceal clubbing and narrowing of the infundibulum.
