Shepherd's crook right coronary artery

A shepherd’s crook right coronary artery is variant in the terms of the course of the right coronary artery. While the RCA origin is normal it is characterized by a tortuous and high course, usually just after its origin from the aorta. Its prevalence is estimated at approximately 5%. While often not clinically significant, its presence may complicate percutaneous intervention .
