sign • Peripheral nerve sheath tumor - Ganzer Fall bei Radiopaedia
The split fat sign is feature that can be seen typically on MRI images with peripheral nerve sheath tumors. It is seen as a fine rind of fat around the lesion. It is best appreciated on T1 weighted images . On coronal or sagittal images (i.e.images along the direction of the nerve) a tapered rim of fat signal may seen adjacent to the proximal and distal ends of the lesion .
