supra-acromial bursa
The supra-acromial bursa is one of the five main shoulder bursae.
Gross anatomy
- located subcutaneously
- superior to the acromion
- not usually in communication with neighboring bursae or the glenohumeral joint
Related pathology
Cases of supra-acromial bursitis have occasionally been reported in literature .
