Suprahyoid muscles

The suprahyoid muscles are a group of muscles in the neck, named because of their position to the hyoid bone:

• anterior suprahyoid muscles
  • anterior bellies of digastric muscle
  • mylohyoid muscle
  • geniohyoid muscle
• posterior suprahyoid muscles
  • posterior bellies of digastric muscle
  • stylohyoid muscle
