Wrist ligaments
The intrinsic and extrinsic wrist ligaments play a vital role in the stability of the wrist joint. There are numerous ligaments but included below are the most clinically significant. Wrist ligaments are best assessed with dedicated wrist MRI.

- scaphotrapeziotrapezoid (STT)
- scaphocapitate
- triquetrohamatecapitate
- triquetrohamate
- distal interosseous
- capitotrapezoid
- capitohamate
- triangular fibrocartilage complex
- extrinsic ligaments (attach to structures aside from the carpus)
- volar
- dorsal
- radial collateral ligament
- ulnar collateral ligament
- thumb ligaments
