Angular vein

The angular vein drains the anterior region of the scalp . It is formed by the union of the supratrochlear and supraorbital veins and becomes the facial vein .

Gross Anatomy

The angular vein is formed at the medial canthus as the supratrochlear vein and supraorbital vein unite . The angular vein runs obliquely downward along with the angular artery, on the side of the root of the nose, to the level of the lower margin of the orbit, where it becomes the facial vein (previously called the anterior facial vein) .
