non gestational choriocarcinoma

Non-gestational choriocarcinoma is choriocarcinoma occurring in the absence of a preceding gestation. As opposed to gestational choriocarcinoma, this is a much rarer situation.

In women, they often tend to occur in the ovary. Most ovarian non-gestational choriocarcinomas occur in mixed form with teratoma, endodermal sinus tumor, embryonal carcinoma or dysgerminoma components.
