An absent patella is a rare finding and can be found with an equally rare set of associations:

• surgical removal of patella (patellectomy)
• nail patella syndrome
• popliteal pterygium syndrome
• proximal focal femoral deficiency (PFFD)
• Meier-Gorlin syndrome
