Rule of 10s (Wilms tumor)

Wilms tumor classically follows a "rule of 10s" :

  • up to 10% may have unfavorable histology
  • 10% are bilateral
  • 10% have vascular invasion
  • 10% have calcifications on CT
  • 10% have pulmonary metastases at presentation
