Sphenosquamosal suture
The sphenosquamosal suture is a vertical cranial suture between the sphenoid and temporal bones bilaterally. It is formed by the articulation between the posterior border of the greater wing of the sphenoid bone and the anterior border of the squamous part of the temporal bone . It is located lateral to the foramen spinosum. It typically fuses at 6-10 years of age.
