The supratrochlear nerve is the medial and smaller of the two branches of the frontal nerve, a branch of ophthalmic division of the trigeminal nerve. As it courses through the superomedial aspect of the extraconal space of the orbit, it passes over the trochlear and exits the orbit under the superior orbital margin medially or via a supratrochlear foramen (if present) and supplies the conjunctiva of the medial upper eyelid and superior fornix and the skin of the medial forehead and scalp, medial upper eyelid and around the medial canthus.
