Das coated aorta sign (Zeichen der ummantelten Aorta) ist ein radiologisches Zeichen, welches bei der Erdheim-Chester-Erkrankung auftreten kann. Es beschreibt eine zirkuläre Infiltration des Gewebes um die Aorta herum, die in bildgebenden Verfahren wie der Computertomographie (CT) sichtbar wird. Das coated aorta sign kann sich entlang der thorakalen und / oder abdominalen Aorta sowie auch deren Äste erstrecken.
