Ankylosing spondylitis (cardiovascular manifestations)
Cardiovascular manifestations of ankylosing spondylitis may affect around 2-10% of all patients with ankylosing spondylitis. Cardiac complications include:
- left ventricular dysfunction: considered on of the commonest findings
- aortic root dilatation: also a relatively frequent finding
- right ventricular dilatation
- right ventricular dysfunction
- aortitis
- aortic regurgitation
- pericarditis
- cardiomegaly
- conduction abnormalities
