Calcific cervical lymphadenopathy (differential)
Calcific cervical lymphadenopathy is uncommon and has a limited differential diagnosis, including malignant and benign etiologies. The most frequent causes include :
- malignancies (more common)
- metastatic thyroid carcinoma (most common; papillary or medullary types)
- metastatic adenocarcinoma, most commonly from breast or lung
- metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck
- treated lymphoma
- benign conditions
