Triple
gallbladder with heterotopic gastric mucosa: a case report. A Coronal view of preoperative magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography demonstrating the gallbladder and two additional cystic structures in the gallbladder fossa (white arrows) communicating with biliary tract. B Oblique view of biliary tree reconstruction
Triple
gallbladder with heterotopic gastric mucosa: a case report. ERCP fluoroscopy image demonstrating opacification of two separate lumens, consistent with gallbladder duplication
Prenatal and
accurate perinatal diagnosis of type 2 H or ductular duplicate gallbladder. Prenatal ultrasound on the 21st week of gestational age: Transverse axial image of the fetal abdomen showing 2 adjacent fluid filled structures in the gallbladder fossa. This finding is consistent with the presence of a duplicated gallbladder
Prenatal and
accurate perinatal diagnosis of type 2 H or ductular duplicate gallbladder. MRCP T2 hast transverse image: duplicate gallbladder

Accessory gallbladders are a rare anatomical variant occurring in 0.03% of cases (approximately 1 in 3000 people). They can arise from either the left or right hepatic ducts or both. Accessory gallbladders arise from a bifid diverticulum of the hepatic duct in the 5or 6 week of development . Accessory gallbladders are associated with a higher incidence of pathologies.
