Hypoglobus

Hypoglobus refers to the inferior displacement of the globe in the orbit. It may or may not be associated with enophthalmos.

Causes include:

• fracture of the orbital floor (most common)
• silent sinus syndrome
• orbital masses
• orbital foreign bodies
• thyroid ophthalmopathy
