splenic histoplasmosis

Splenic histoplasmosis can manifest with splenomegaly and splenic hypoattenuation. It is more common in immunosuppressed patients (e.g. HIV/AIDS), particularly in endemic areas (e.g. central USA) . Healed splenic histoplasmosis is one of the causes of diffuse splenic calcifications .
