subgluteus medius bursa
The subgluteus medius bursa is one of the chief bursae situated on the lateral aspect of the hip joint. It is located deep to the distal insertion of the gluteus medius tendon, and covers a region of the superior part of the lateral facet of the greater trochanter of the proximal femur .
