venus necklace
A Venus necklace is a term almost never used, but for the sake of completeness is included here. It has been used by some authors to describe a series of T2 hyperintense lesions on the inferior surface of the corpus callosum in the midline (callososeptal interface), most frequently seen in multiple sclerosis.
History and etymology
The origin of the term comes from a necklace which the goddess Venus (gk: Aphrodite) was said to wear.
