The WAGR syndrome or complex stands for:

  • Wilms tumors (greatly increased risk)
  • aniridia
  • genitourinary anomalies
  • intellectual retardation (disability)

Genetics

Occurs from a mutation related to chromosome 11p13 which is in close proximity to the WT1 gene.
