Fibromatoses

Fibromatosis  (plural: fibromatoses) refers to a wide range of soft tissue lesions that share an underlying histopathologic pattern of fibrous tissue proliferation. They can occur in a variety of anatomic sites (e.g. musculoskeletal, abdominopelvic, breast, etc.) and also vary in their behavior, ranging from indolent/benign lesions to malignant/metastatic. See article soft tissue tumors (classification) - WHO 2002 for a full list.
