Callosal sulcus
The callosal sulcus is a sulcus of the brain, located on the medial side of each cerebral hemisphere, deep within the medial longitudinal fissure.
Gross anatomy
The callosal sulcus runs posteriorly from the genu to the splenium of the corpus callosum. It separates the cingulate gyrus dorsally from the corpus callosum ventrally .
Blood supply
The anterior portion is supplied by branches of the anterior cerebral artery, namely the pericallosal and callosomarginal artery. The posterior portion is supplied by the posterior pericallosal artery, a branch of the posterior cerebral artery.
