Carney-Stratakis syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant condition comprising of familial paraganglioma and gastric stromal sarcoma.
Terminology
It is considered to be distinct from, but perhaps related to, the Carney triad . Neither should be confused with the unrelated Carney complex.
History and etymology
First described by J Aidan Carney and Constantine A Stratakis, American and Greek physicians, in 2002 .
