Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich
syndrome. Two separate uterine cavities with two separate cervices (uterus didelphys) and a voluminous haematometrocolpos. A large cystic mass adjacent to the right uterus is identified that corresponds to a haematosalpinx (arrow).
Hematocolpos is a term given to a blood-filled dilated vagina due to menstrual blood in the setting of an anatomical obstruction, usually an imperforate hymen. When there is concurrent uterine distention, the term hematometrocolpos is used.
Clinical presentation
Patients may present with amenorrhea or vague abdominal pain.

Radiographic features
Ultrasound
Typically shows a fluid distended hypoechogenic mass along the extent of the vagina but not involving the uterus.
