Benign tumors include :
- soft tissue
- hemangioma: common
- lymphangioma: common
- elastofibroma dorsi: common
- lipoma: chest wall lipoma
- schwannoma
- neurofibroma
- ganglioneuroma
- paraganglioma
- hemangiopericytoma
- skeletal (ribcage)
- fibrous dysplasia: common
- aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC): common
- giant cell tumor (GCT)
- ossifying fibromyxoid tumor
- chondromyxoid fibroma
- osteochondroma
- mesenchymal hamartoma of chest wall: sometimes even considered a developmental anomaly
