First FRCR exam

The First FRCR (Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists) exam (colloquially known as part 1 FRCR) is the first part of the FRCR examination and assesses knowledge of radiological physics and anatomy.

Candidates have to be in training posts in clinical radiology or nuclear medicine and the examination is usually sat during the first year of training.

The physics examination uses a question stem and a true/false responses. The anatomy examination comprises of 100 images and associated questions.

The examination is usually held three times per year in the spring, summer and autumn sittings. The various centers are London, Birmingham, Manchester, Belfast, Glasgow, Hong Kong and Singapore.
